Finkl Hi-Hard™ P-20 is recommended for plastic molds, zinc die casting dies, and other applications that require the polishability of P-20 with higher wear resistance. It has proven itself in especially demanding applications such as automotive bumper molds.

Finkl Hi-Hard™ P-20 is ALWAYS forged with a minimum of 5-to-1 reduction, utilizing wide-die techniques which assure consolidated centers and fine grain structure. It is sold in the pre-hardened condition, with a hardness of 321-352 BHN. (The recommended stress relieving temperature of Hi-Hard™ P-20 is 1000°F).

Hi-Hard™ P-20 is 100% ultrasonically tested according to the most rigorous standards. It is fully warranted for molds and dies. The chemical composition of Finkl Hi-Hard™ P-20 has been carefully formulated to enhance the performance of the steel. The chemical composition in conjunction with the special processing steps creates the best deep hardening plastic mold steel available.
