Finkl DCF™ is a long lasting die steel with excellent high temperature properties. The machinability of DCF™ in the prehardened condition is comparable to H13 at 300 BHN (32 HRc) nearly as machinable asannealed H13.
Finkl DCF™ is forged utilizing wide die techniques that assure consolidated centers and fine grain structure, resulting in improved properties throughout. Finkl DCF™ is forged with a minimum of 4 to 1 reduction. Finkl DCF™ is heat-treated using our computer-controlled heat treat furnaces following thermal processing cycles developed to minimize distortion of the die during machining. DCF™ is sold in the prehard-ened condition at approximately 421 BHN (45 HRc). Finkl DCF™ is 100% ultrasonically tested according to the most rigorous standards and is fully warranted for dies and molds. |
