Finkl Alu-C™ is a high quality cast aluminum alloy. This cast alloy, which is solution treated and stabilized, is well suited for pressure applications including prototype injection molds, blow molds, hot forming tools, vacuum form molds, RIM molds, and structural foam molds.
Finkl Alu-C™ is sold in the aged and stabilized condition, machined, and ready for use. Our special thermal stabilization process minimizes the distortion encountered when machining Finkl Alu-C™ as compared to other grades of aluminum. Finkl Alu-C™ is used for general purpose, low volume plastic injection molds. For more demanding applications, Finkl's premium forged aluminum product, Alu-X™, is recommended. Finkl Alu-C™ is 100% ultrasonically tested according to the most rigorous standards. |
