Applications
Unimax is suitable for long run production moulds, moulds for reinforced plastics and compression moulding.
Unimax is a problem solver in severe cold work tooling applications such as heavy duty blanking, cold forging and thread rolling, where high chipping resistance is required.
Engineering and hot work applications requiring high hardness and toughness are also applications where Unimax has proven to be successful.

- Excellent toughness and ductility in all directions
- Good wear resistance
- Good dimensional stability during heat treatment
- Excellent through-hardening properties
- Good resistance to tempering back
- Good hot strength
- Good thermal fatigue resistance
- Excellent polishability
