CarTech Micro-Melt 431 stainless is a martensitic hardenable stainless steel produced via powder metallurgy. The processing and composition is optimized to provide a product of a homogenous structure with excellent polishability and machinability. The chemistry is adjusted to provide improved mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, relative to conventionally processed Type 431 stainless steel.

Type 431 is the most corrosion resistant of the conventionally hardenable stainless steels. CarTech Micro-Melt 431 stainless offers improvements to its polishability, machinability and mechanical properties.
