CarTech CTS 20HC alloy is a version of CarTech 420 martensitic stainless steel containing nominally 0.5% carbon content. The chemical composition and processing of CarTech CTS 20HC have been tailored to provide a uniform, fine carbide structure that can be considered for the manufacture of thin sections and fine blanking operations. CarTech CTS 20HC alloy can achieve a tempered hardness capability of HRC 55.

Applications:
CarTech CTS 20HC alloy is an excellent candidate for cutting instruments for fine edge components such as razor, cutlery, medical cutting and utility blade applications as well as knife and tooling applications that demand high hardness, superior edge retention, and good corrosion resistance.
