Sanicro 36Mo for Wirelines
Sanicro 36Mo is a high-alloy austenitic stainless steel particularly suitable for service in extremely sour oil and gas wells. It is used for both slicklines and logging cable armor wire. Sanicro 36Mo is characterized by:
* PRE, Pitting Resistance Equivalent = %Cr + 3.3 x %Mo + 16 x %N
- Excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in H2S, chloride and CO2 environments
- Very good resistance to pitting and general corrosion in chloride and acidizing environments owing to its high PRE* value of min. 50
- Exceptionally high mechanical strength and correspondingly high breaking loads
