CarTech Micro-Melt NCORR stainless is a non-magnetic, nitrogen-strengthened, austenitic stainless steel. The alloy exhibits superior tensile strength, exceptional ductility, and good resistance to crevice and pitting corrosion.

CarTech Micro-Melt NCORR stainless is produced using PM (powder metallurgy) technology. The atomized powder is consolidated into fully dense billets or near net shapes via hot isostatic pressing. The ability to produce net and near net shapes is one of the primary advantages of PM. Alternatively, the billets can be hot and/or cold worked to form mill products, including billet, bar, and wire.

Applications:
This alloy may be suitable for oil and gas subsea components. It may also be considered in applications where a combination of high strength and corrosion resistance is required.
