Features
- The 5xxx Series aluminum alloys are widely used for vehicle body panels because they have the highest strength among non-heat treatment alloys and excellent press formability.
- The GC45, alloy which has copper content as well as magnesium, is the alloy mass-produced in the greatest quantity today for body panels.
- The GC55 alloy has higher strength than that of the GC45 alloy and has good formability with increased magnesium content.
- The GM145 alloy for body panels corresponds to the 5182 alloy, which features high cost performance.
