Sandvik 24.13.LNb is a strip electrode used to obtain a E309LNb corrosion resistant overlay weld deposit on C-, CMn- and low-alloyed steels using submerged-arc welding (SAW) with the flux Sandvik 10SW or electroslag welding (ESW) with the high speed flux Sandvik 49S. It gives a 347/E347 chemical composition when used in single layer technique. Sandvik 24.13.LNb can also be combined with Sandvik 19.9.LNb for the second layer to obtain a 347/E347 weld deposit. There are also other possible combinations and conditions.

Applications
Sandvik 24.13.LNb is used for corrosion resistant weld surfacing of components in the chemical, petrochemical, nuclear industry. Typical components are pressure vessels, heat exchangers, shafts, industrial piping etc.

It is very common in petrochemical applications.

It is often used as transition layer on which a second layer is welded, using 19.9.LNb for better corrosion resistance.
