CarTech® Invarod
CarTech Invarod is specifically designed as a weld filler metal for joining CarTech Invar "36"® alloy and other low expansion nickel-iron alloys without the need for preheating or postheating.
By controlling the thermal expansion characteristics of Invarod without affecting the mechanical strength, Invarod permits multipass and repair welding with less susceptibility to cracking and provides improved ductility at all temperatures.
Invarod also permits pipe lines and long-member structures to be built for low temperature service without expansion joints.
