CarTech® Nickel 211 Alloy

CarTech Nickel 211 alloy is a nickel-manganese alloy that is slightly harder than CarTech Nickel 200 alloy in the annealed condition. The manganese addition provides resistance to sulfur compounds at elevated temperatures and retains higher strength than CarTech Nickel 200 alloy at elevated temperatures. Because it has almost double the electrical resistivity of CarTech Nickel 200 alloy and low electron emission, CarTech Nickel 211 alloy has been used as fuses in light bulbs and grids in vacuum tubes. The alloy's resistance to sulfur compounds at elevated temperatures has allowed its use in assemblies where sulfur is present in heating flames; i.e., in proximity to glass seals.

CarTech Nickel 211 alloy meets the requirements in ASTM F-290.
