CarTech 636 stainless is a hardenable stainless steel designed for service temperatures up to 1200°F (649°C). High mechanical properties can be developed by heat treatment. CarTech 636 exhibits good resistance to scaling and oxidation for continuous service at temperatures up to 1400°F (760°C).
Applications:
CarTech 636 stainless has been used for buckets and blades in compressors and steam turbines, high temperature bolting, compressor and turbine wheels, valves and valve trim and aircraft parts.
