CarTech® C-XB Valve Steel

CarTech C-XB is a hardenable high silicon-chromium alloy that offers good high temperature strength and corrosion resistance to combustion products of automotive engines. It is widely used for exhaust valves in light-duty gasoline engines. It is also used for valve seat inserts and for intake valve construction in heavy-duty engines.

CarTech C-XB is also available in aircraft quality manufactured to meet magnetic particle inspection standards.
