CarTech® CUPRON® Alloy

Generic Family: Copper - Wrought - Copper NickelSupplied by: Carpenter Technology Corporation
CarTech CUPRON alloy is the standard negative thermoelement used with copper to produce the ISA "T" curve, with iron to produce the ISA "J" curve, and with TOPHEL alloy to produce the ISA "E" curve.

CarTech CUPRON alloy is not generally expected to display long life at temperatures approaching 816°C (1500°F) and higher. The ISA recommendations for size and maximum temperatures should be consulted when choosing wire size for use in any temperature range. (See American National Standard Institute ANSI-MC 96.1).
