CarTech PCLW-BPX alloy (30-6) is the copper-base positive extension wire used with copper as the negative leg for compensating extension wires for the type B thermocouple (Pt, 30% Rh vs. Pt, 6% Rh). CarTech PCLW-BPX alloy (30-6) vs. copper produces a maximum error of ± 38 microvolts at 200 °C (392 °F). Copper-copper extension wire can be used up to 100°C (212°F). This introduces a maximum error of up to -33 microvolts.
