CarTech Tophet alloy 30 is a 70% nickel, 30% chromium, heat-resistant alloy with the following advantages:

* Superior oxidation resistance which promotes longer life at temperatures up to 2300°F (1260°C) in air or generated exothermic atmospheres.

* Unaffected by atmospheres such as hydrogen and dissociated ammonia which cause "Green Rot" attack (preferential oxidation of chromium).

* Higher strength at elevated temperatures.

* Higher specific resistance.

CarTech Tophet alloy 30 has been designed to give satisfactory life in furnaces at all temperatures up to 2300°F (1260°C).

CarTech Tophet alloy 30 is usually selected over other CarTech Tophet alloys for use in industrial furnaces with exothermic, hydrogen, air and dissociated ammonia atmospheres.

It should not be used in MgO insulated sheathed elements or nitrogen atmospheres above 1900°F (1038°C) or in carburizing atmospheres above 1800°F (982°C).

CarTech Tophet alloy 30 has been used successfully in appliances where the ultimate in sag resistance and long life are essential.
