NanoSteel's NSC 5070™ is a high wear resistant powder alloy for HIP (hot isostatic pressing) clad applications where a precision, crack-free surface is desired over PTAW (plasma transfer arc welding) overlay materials. As applied by HIP clad process, NSC 5070™ produces a homogenous surface without inconsistent solidification effects that occur throughout the weld pool during PTAW applications.

NSC 5070™ is suitable for extreme wear and minimal impact HIP clad applications, including slurry pump parts in oil sands extraction processes and mining, mud motor bearings and valve bodies in oil & gas and extrusion barrels in plastics manufacturing.
