Sumitomo Light Metal GC150
- Being 1.5 stronger than A5052 typical structural aluminum alloy sheet, it is possible to reduce sheet thickness and thereby make weight and cost reductions.
- Having strength on a par with cold-rolled steel, it is possible to reduce weight by substituting it for steel sheet products.
- While A5052 soft material (Material 0) has a 25% stretch rate, GC150 has a 32% stretch rate; bending and deep-draw processing which has previously been difficult is now possible.
Applications
- PDP back covers, digital cameras, various types of casings for CD-ROMs, MD frames, etc., and many electric and information devices.
