CarTech 286-LNi alloy is a precipitation hardenable Fe-Ni-Cr alloy that may be considered for applications requiring high strength and good corrosion resistance at temperatures up to 1300°F (704°C). The properties are similar to those of CarTech Customet A-286.

The alloy can be precipitation hardened and strengthened by heat treatment. This makes possible a high degree of uniformity in developing maximum strength.

Applications:
The properties of CarTech 286-LNi are similar to those of CarTech Customet A-286, but the lower alloy content makes CarTech 286-LNi a lower-cost alternative. The alloy is particularly useful in the automotive industry where good corrosion resistance and high strength at elevated temperatures are required.
