Finkl DRX is recommended for plastic molds that require higher wear resistance than available with typical mold steels.

Finkl DRX is recommended for hot heading, hot forging, hot punching, hot piercing, and hot trimming dies. DRX is also recommended for heavy duty hot and cold shear blades, forming tools, and bending tools.

Finkl DRX is ALWAYS forged with a minimum of 5-to-1 reduction. It is sold in the annealed condition, with a hardness of approximately 200 on the Brinell scale.

Finkl DRX steel is forged utilizing wide-die techniques which assure consolidated centers and fine grain structure, resulting in improved properties throughout.

Finkl DRX is 100% ultrasonically tested according to the most rigorous standards. It is fully warranted for molds and dies.
