Cuprodie® 2™

Generic Family: Steel - Wrought - Tool SteelSupplied by: A. Finkl & Sons Co.
Finkl Cuprodie 2™ is a remarkably tough, long lasting, die steel with excellent high temperature physical properties and self lubricating qualities. Cuprodie 2™ resists abrasion, heat checking and washing, and offers excellent machinability.

Cuprodie 2™ is high quality, Copper-containing steel alloy. Finkl Cuprodie 2™ is forged utilizing wide die techniques which assure consolidated centers and fine grain structure, resulting in improved properties throughout.

The self-lubricating qualities of Cuprodie 2™ decrease or eliminate the need for lubricants during the forging operation.

When broken into production slowly, Cuprodie 2™ dies take on a high polish that contributes substantially to abrasion resistance and its self-lubricating qualities. Cuprodie 2™ was designed for those applications that need greater wear, tempering resistance, or heat checking resistance than can be obtained from standard types of die steels.
